A Modern Grand Tour is the online platform created by Sophie and James Perkins to share their curated collections of art, antiques, natural wonders, and design. It began at Aynhoe Park and continues at Parnham Park, blending history, imagination, and contemporary style.

Through sales exhibitions, and auctions, it offers collectors the chance to acquire extraordinary pieces — from fossils and taxidermy to furniture and sculpture — all chosen with the same playful, eclectic spirit that defines the houses themselves.
JAMES PERKINS
James Perkins’ journey to becoming an artist was one that unfolded quietly, almost by accident. For years, his art was a personal expression, an extension of his avid love for collecting.
He began creating pieces not with the intention to sell but simply for himself— to make sense of his own thoughts and emotions. It wasn’t about perfection or technique but allowing the works to almost ‘come together’. The joy of bringing something from his mind into the physical world for the entertainment of house guests.
