Celebrate Apple Day 2026!

17th October
10am-8pm

Join us for a celebration of apples, orchards and the autumn harvest at Parnham Park.

The day begins with folk tales from Martin Maudsley, followed by a programme of talks and demonstrations exploring the rich diversity of British apples and pears. We’re delighted to welcome renowned apple experts Liz Copas, James Crowden and John Whittick, alongside Parnham’s own Mark Rogers, who will be sharing their knowledge of heritage varieties, orcharding traditions and growing techniques.

Have a mystery apple tree in your garden? Please do bring along for identification from our experts!

Throughout the day, you can browse a selection of market stalls featuring local makers, growers and producers, offering everything from freshly pressed juices and ciders to artisan cheeses, baked goods, honey and seasonal treats.

In the afternoon, enjoy performances from the Bridport Mummers, followed by live music from The Skimmity Hitchers, Dan Tolman and The Skalatans with a DJ set from Dan Tolman going on into the night at the Parnham Restaurant.

There will be plenty for younger visitors too, with games, seasonal crafts and apple-themed activities led by Rowan Beecham throughout the day.

Alongside the entertainment, enjoy delicious local food and drink from The Parnham Restaurant, including an exclusive Apple Day cider tasting flight showcasing a selection of regional ciders.
